Nidderdale Junior Cricket League

The Nidderdale and District Amateur Cricket League has announced Kettlewell Fuels as the sponsor of its Junior Cricket League, supporting the game for budding young cricketers across the district.

Already an active contributor to cricket in the region, North Yorkshire’s trusted independent heating and fuel oil supplier has committed to a sponsorship package to support grass roots cricket.

The Nidderdale Junior Cricket League, part of the larger Nidderdale and District Amateur Cricket League, is made up of Nidderdale-based cricket clubs with 19 clubs now entering junior teams.

Commenting on the announcement, Nidderdale and District Amateur Cricket League Chairman, Sir Thomas Ingilby, said: “We are delighted to have Kettlewell Fuels on board – it’s a company that clearly has a real appetite for the sport and has shown great commitment to North Yorkshire cricket for many years. We are looking forward to partnering with them to grow the scale of the Junior League even further” 

Mick Dawson, Nidderdale Junior League General Secretary added: “The Junior League has been a great success so far and we’re looking to encourage more clubs to enter junior teams to ensure that cricket in the area continues to flourish. Although Kettlewell Fuels will mainly be a financial sponsor they will also be providing some social media and digital marketing support.”

Commenting on the sponsorship, Janet Kettlewell said: “Kettlewell Fuels has always been passionate about cricket and has sponsored many local cricket clubs and organisations over the years, including North Yorkshire Women and Girls Cricket.

“We believe that by supporting the Junior League, the new sponsorship will benefit many more local clubs. Also, it enables us to play a part in the development of cricket in North Yorkshire. We’re especially keen to increase awareness and engagement among juniors, after all that’s where the passion for the sport starts, and of course tell more people about Kettlewell Fuels!
